What do we do?

Sofoe Cares provides essential resources bookbags, school supplies, toys, and family support to children and families in need across Polk, Osceola, and Orange County. Our mission is simple: meet needs, spark joy, and strengthen our community.

  • More than 3,000 bookbags have been donated to students across Central Florida, helping them walk into school feeling prepared, supported, and proud. Every backpack representing hope for a brighter tomorrow.

  • With more than 1,800 gifts donated, Sofoe Cares has helped brighten countless holidays for children across Central Florida. Every gift represents a moment of joy and a child who feels seen, valued, and remembered.

  • Behind every life affected and every smile provided is a moment of connection one child feeling seen, one family feeling supported, one community standing stronger. These moments fuel our mission and remind us why this work matters.

Our Mission

Our mission is to uplift families, inspire children, and strengthen our community through compassion, resources, and year-round support. We exist to remind every family & every child in need that they are seen, valued, and never alone no matter their circumstances.

Our Programs

    Back To School Bash

    Our Back-to-School Bash gives children the chance to start the year with confidence, dignity, and excitement. From bookbags and school supplies to haircuts, activities, and encouragement, we make sure every child feels prepared, supported, and celebrated as they head back into the classroom.

    Christmas Giveback

    Our Christmas Giveback brings warmth, joy, and hope to families who need it most during the holidays. Through donated gifts, toys, and essential items, we help ensure that every child experiences the magic of Christmas and every family feels supported, remembered, and loved.

    Emergency Family Support

    Our Emergency Family Support program helps families facing unexpected hardship get the essentials they need whether it’s food, supplies, or immediate assistance. We show up with compassion, reminding families that even in their toughest moments, they are not alone.
