About Us
Sofoe Cares is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to uplifting families, inspiring children, and strengthening our community through compassion and year-round support. What began as a simple act of love has grown into a movement that provides bookbags, toys, essentials, and hope to families across Polk, Osceola, and Orange County.
We believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported and through our programs, partners, and volunteers, we make sure no family walks alone.
Our Story
Sofoe Cares didn’t start in a boardroom it started with a burden on the heart to give back. Year after year, we saw families struggling to make ends meet, parents stretching every dollar, and children going without the basic things that help them feel confident and excited.
What began as small, personal efforts to help buying a few gifts here, a few backpacks there slowly turned into something bigger. Friends joined in. Local businesses wanted to help. Events grew. The vision became clear: create a foundation that consistently shows up for families, especially when life feels heavy.
Today, Sofoe Cares stands as a reflection of that journey. We are a community of givers, volunteers, and partners who believe that love should be felt, not just spoken and we’re committed to proving that through action.

Our mission is to walk alongside families with compassion, consistency, and care offering support that goes beyond a single moment. We exist to encourage children, ease the weight on parents, and create spaces where families feel seen, respected, and uplifted.
Our vision is a community where no family feels alone in their struggle and no child feels overlooked. We see Sofoe Cares as a bridge connecting the generosity of people, businesses, and partners with the real, everyday needs of families across Central Florida.
